Safeguarding
St John's is committed to the safety and wellbeing of every person in our community.
Our Commitment
St John's Church is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults at risk. We follow the Church of England's safeguarding policies and practices, and take all concerns seriously. Everyone who worships, volunteers or works at St John's is expected to uphold these standards.
Our Safeguarding Officer
If you have a safeguarding concern, please contact our Parish Safeguarding Officer in the first instance. All concerns will be treated confidentially and with care.

Reporting a concern
If you are concerned about the welfare of a child or adult, please do not hesitate to raise your concern — even if you are not certain. It is always better to raise a concern that turns out to be unfounded than to stay silent.
If you believe someone is in immediate danger, call 999 immediately. For non-emergency concerns involving children you can also contact Barnet Children's Services on 020 8359 4066.
In an emergency
If you believe someone is in immediate danger, call 999 first.
